Product Description

Thioxanthen-9-one CAS number is 492-22-8, which can be used to synthesize Methixene hydrochloride and flupenthixol hydrochloride. His preparation process is as following, Firstly, the base and the solvent H2O are mixed into an alkali solution with a molar concentration of 1.3~3.2 mol/L, and cooled to room temperature. Under the protection of N2, thiosalicylic acid is added to the alkali solution, stirred for 0.5 to 1 h, and the catalyst and Iodobenzene are added. the temperature is raised to 90 ℃ ~ 110℃,reaction for 12-30 hours, the heating is stopped, cooled to room temperature, the pH value is adjusted to 1 with hydrochloric acid, suction filtration to obtain a yellow solid, washed and dried to give a white solid 2-phenylthiobenzene Formic acid. The molar ratio of the above feed amount is thiosalicylic acid:catalyst:base = 1:0.1:3.The catalyst is cuprous bromide, cuprous iodide or cuprous chloride; the base is potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide;
Secondly, under the protection of N2, 2-phenylthiobenzoic acid is mixed with a dehydrating agent and heated to 100℃to 160℃, stirred for 5-12 hours, cooled to room temperature, poured into water and filtered to obtain a gray-green solid.
