2-Methylthio-4-pyrimidinone is intermediate for Mizolastine CAS number 5751-20-2, which is used to condense with mizolastine intermediate 6 to give mizolastine.The specific procedure is roughly as follows: 2-Methylthio-4-pyrimidinone is added to a DMF solution containing sodium carbonate and sodium iodide. The prepared mizolastine intermediate 6 CAS 5751-20-2 was added under stirring, heated to reflux, cooled to room temperature, poured into cold water and extracted with ethyl acetate.
