1: Catalyst Cat-1 is added to a mixed system of p-halogenated benzoic acid and dimethylamine aqueous solution at a temperature of 10 to 150℃, and heated and stirred at 50 to 200℃ for 5 to 20 hours, and cooled to room temperature. After the reaction liquid was filtered, the filtrate was adjusted to pH ≈4 with dilute hydrochloric acid, and filtered to obtain a crude solid of p-dimethylaminobenzoic acid, which was dried and used in the next step.
2: Catalyst Cat-3 is added to a mixed system of p-dimethylaminobenzoic acid, isooctanol and solvent A at a temperature of 20 to 80℃, heated until the reaction system boils and the solvent and water are recovered through a split column. After the material is clarified, it is maintained for 1 to 2 hours until no more water is formed. The sample analysis is carried out until the conversion rate of the raw material is more than 99%, and the process is about 3 to 15 hours. The reaction system was cooled to room temperature, neutralized to neutrality, and the organic layer was left to stand still. The solvent and the remaining isooctanol were distilled off under reduced pressure, and then distillation under reduced pressure to obtain 2-Ethylhexyl 4-(Dimethylamino)benzoate CAS number 21245-02-3.
